Phool-Patti Work

Phool-Patti work (floral and leaf motifs) is a kind of hand-done Appliqué. This traditional embroidery is mostly practiced by women in the small north Indian town of Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh) and its surrounding areas. It involves very fine needlework where cut outs of fabrics are designed in leaf and floral motifs and stitched on cloth.
